Hey everyone! I have an 2008 Denali with the 6.2 and I noticed recently the oil pressure seems low to me. It has 118k on it and is at about 17/18 hot at idle but driving I am at 40psi cruising at 80 at 2k. Start up cold it is between 40-60 psi. Replaced o ring on pickup,sender,new oil and filter. No leaks or noise. Any suggestions or ideas?

No noises or codes at this time. I do drive this truck hard for sure. Only thing I did recently was rear main/new trans/new front diff/manifolds/injectors/etc. nothing directly related to oil pressure though.

Which filter did you use? I noticed that running Mobil One oil filter cost me a few psi compared to running a K&N.

Sounds exactly like mine;

but everyone assures me its fine. Apparently chevy says operating is between 27-80 psi..sooo <shrug>

That being said, I want to install the high pressure, high flow oil pump. It's 150 bucks, but its a weekend job best I can tell.

Sounds right my buddy the boat mechanic says my boats 350 only needs 5 psi to run. I know it’s a different set up just tossing it out there.

The filter I use is a pf48e AC Delco! Usually always run oe filters. And in dericks video that’s exactly where mine sits at idle. It used to be right at the 20 mark or a hair more.

Pretty sure I'd shit myself, throw the wallet into the camp fire, cry through a box of tissues, then set my car on fire if I saw 5psi
