Doesn't look like he has an egr..GM stopped putting them on the trucks in 03 i believe. Mine was right behind my TB, but I deleted it too.

I don’t think I have an EGR. What the scan tool pick info from the ECU about that? It’s X out on my scan tool like the ECU can’t see it or I don’t have one.

I can actually check the gauge at work. I’ll bring it with me tomorrow and see how far off it is.

That'd be great info to have. How can you check it- compare it with a known accurate gauge or do you work where there is calibrated equipment to test gauges?

EGR will be a larger metal tube entering the intake manifold on the passenger side, just behind the throttle body. Ya can't miss it

Sorry to hear you're still having this issue.

Here's a diagnostic tree I hope can prove helpful. It's a lot of things to check, but I think would be worth your time. If there's anything in here you need more guidance or specs on, let me know and I'll provide info :)

Yeah I have a certified gauge at work. We use it to check the pressure gauges on our filling rigs. I manage a precision calibration gas plant.

Whoa. Awesome! Thank you!! I looked for the EGR after work. I definitely do not have one. FPR will be my next replacement. I also want to put a stock air intake back on. I’ve never really been a fan of these CAI. After the FPR if that doesn’t fix it I might take it to a shop.....super frustrating, if I wanted to hunt gremlins I would have kept my Audi haha

I believe so. There’s a screen when I pull the filter off.

I replaced the FPR tonight with an AC Delco one....yaaaa $100 flying out of my wallet! Didn’t fix the issue, however. The fuel pressure is now reading 50 psi on my gauge and I noticed while driving the PSI would jump to 60 psi during acceleration.

I guess I’m gonna move onto fuel injectors or coil packs. I do not have a way to test these though. My scan tool isn’t that technical. I think I’m going to take it to a shop by my work next week (going out of town for work Wednesday.)

I’ll keep the thread updated with my findings.
