2006 Tahoe. CC was working. I installed LED's then noticed no CC. I read that LEDs pull lower voltage and the computer thinks a brake light is out killing the CC. I'll put back the original bulbs. Does that mean LEDs are not an option or is there a workaround?

OK, so two part plan, please let me know if this will be a problem. I presently have 2 LED 3157 brake lights (white color). I am told LED red shows better through the red brake lens. I can put the red 3157 LEDs for the brakes, then put amber LEDs for the turns in the rear. That makes 4 LED lights in the rear. I purchased this kit where I can put a 50w resistor on each of the 4 LEDs. Any problems doing this? I plan to self-tap/mount the resistor somewhere on the metal body of the truck away from plastic and wiring as much as possible.

I would wire resistors for only the brake lights so you still have cruise control.

For turn signals I would get the novita led flasher. That way you dont have 2 sets of hot resistors behind your light housing.

Yes with personal experience I can confirm red led bulbs are actually brighter than white with red lenses, so get some red bulbs. Amber I'm not sure but I would assume it would be the same.

What do you have for front lights? Leds?

Oh yeah, I forgot I did that on my 02. For my 08 Silvy it was 2 sets of resistors since that flasher is built into the bcm.

Yea I hear the 07+ are a pain if you want leds for anything. Outside and inside lights. But still ways to do it

Depending on your electrical system, you may need a different relay than this one. I have an ‘05 Tahoe, and mine needed a different LED-compatible relay than earlier models.

If you do a search online, some SSR owners were having the same issue, and they detailed that the LM486 worked for them. This is what I have installed on my truck, and it works for me.

Good to know. I've only used old fashion resistors.
