This is all such good info. i did a lot of this a few years ago. Make sure you send down the powder coat where the alt meets any metal. I also ran a ground from my second battery to the alt bolt at the alt that says GND. You guys give me more ideas...

looks like they thought about it

Just picked up Optima redtop 34R at local Advance Auto for $197.43, with core refund and tax, regular price was $259.99 + Tax, I think it was a good deal,

battery spec:

C20 Capacity:50 Ah
CCA:800 Amp
Reserve Capacity @25 Amps:100 Minutes
Group Size:BCI: 34
Internal Resistance:0.003
CA:1000 Amp

I paid around $240+ tax without core refund.

Yes it is, hope he will do more mods like this. Giving me lots of good ideas and how to do it. Seems like install is top notch. Haven't seen anyone complaining, LOL

I'm not sure about better, but certainly easier to work with.

correct me if I am wrong, begin that I am putting 250Amp alternator and keeping a 175 fuse, or should I bump the fuse up? which I don't think because that wire is going to car electric.
