i’m the process of lowering my 4 door tahoe and this crossmember is right in the way, not letting my drive shaft move up enough. it needs to be notched. the awkward shapeof the crossmember stumps me on how to notch it as high to the floor as possible while keeping most of the strength. anyone dropped a 4 door hoe or know anyone? or just have any ideas on what kind of notch to do here? thanks

you could flip it. lowered its not like driveline flex is a concern anymore. might have to trim it and take some of the angle out so it doesnt hit the ground. but thats probably the route i would go.

You can’t flip it because that crossmember goes on top of the gas tank on one side and I think it doubles as a gas tank mounting point..I Notched mine all I did was cut it in two pieces and welded in a half ring..I’d post a pic of what I’m talking about but I don’t have any..
