My rear blower on my 2002 Tahoe works about 25% of the time. The cold weather is now starting so I'm hoping I can figure it out.
It has the manual overhead controls.
I have heard there may be a wire in the drivers side kick panel area that may be burned that causes this alot?
Any other ideas?

Thanks

Gossamer - Did you ever figure this out? Mine was hit or miss and would turn on and off periodically. Couple of weeks ago - it has stopped completely now.... Thanks -

No, mine also works whenever still. Hasn't stopped completely yet.
I can't believe there are no responses back on this......maybe a rare malfunction I guess.

i had this and it was a very easy fix to just replace the blower motor in the back. It is located behind the trim panel on the passenger side of the rear cargo area. Cheap and easy...just a couple of bolts. Just be careful loosening the trim to get to it.

might be the rear blower motor resistor, you could pull it and eyeball it for any burnt/melted looking spots that's usually a dead giveaway.

Another suggestion is to open the panel enough to tap the blower motor with a wrench and see if it starts working. That is what I did and when it worked for a while I knew it was the blower motor itself.
