Radiator Change

alright, I tried searching but couldn’t come up with anything. One of my radiator tanks has a crack. I want to replace it but I’m getting conflicting information on what radiator part number I need. It’s coming down to asking me to order based on the code stamped on the radiator. Does anybody know where this code is?

Have you tried rock auto? They have it broken down pretty well

calls for a 34 X 17 x 1 if you have eoc (engine oil cooler) get one with eoc (oil cooler lines on the drivers side), you can still use the same radiator even if your truck does not have eoc it's just a extra feature is all. otherwise there should be no confusion.

these guys are everywhere, not the cheapest but they have good radiators and lifetime warranty

On ACDelco's website, I'm coming up with part number 21649 if you have 4.10 gears with an engine oil cooler and 21653 if you have 3.73 gears without an engine oil cooler. Each listing has a bunch of RPO codes that corresponds with the right one.

Oh, make sure that there is a restricter in the fitting that goes to the overflow tank. One fella on here recently bought a new aftermarket radiator and his truck will not get up to temperature and it is suspected that this restriction is missing per a GM TSB.

see, that’s the thing, I have 3.73’s with an oil cooler.
And also, those aren’t RPO codes, they are radiator codes.

Well, one has an oil cooler and one doesn't. Get the 21649.

Personally recommend them. If you've got the extra coin, go for the all aluminum variety with the greater cooling capacity. Also as stated previously, get the two cooler option, if you don't need one, there's no harm done.
