I'm installing mine tomorrow. Let me know how that works. I've hear varying reports on the turn signals. I'm less concerned about that that getting the folders to work and not losing any other functionality.
Just got done.

Completely plug and play for everything. As mentioned, no turn signals or puddle lights (I also have a PPV, so...). Power mirrors and power fold work work perfectly.

Anyone know if it's possible (maybe in the DIC) to configure the power fold/unfold upon lock/unlock?

Yea it sucks that we would have to flash the bcm. whiteautoandmedia.com does the flash.

The other option is pulling the power wire for the turn signal and tapping into the wire that goes to the front turn signal L/R respectfully. The wire goes down the door (for the life of me I can't remember the color!) and through the rubber grommet connecting the door to the body where the harness is. I was going to pull the wire at that point and run an extension wire to the headlights where the turn signals are at.

I'm thinking of going with whiteautoandmedia.com because I would also connect the auto dim and heat.
Thanks for the info. I'll try to track down the turn signal wire. I'm not too keen on sending anything off, but I agree that the heat and dim would be nice.

Plug ya newly flashed bcm in and you should be good to go
Their website said this regarding post flash - " Post programming and install you'll need to have a dealer/shop/someone with a good scan tool perform a brake pedal position relearn and setup the SDM key in the BCM. Other programming changes may require additional setup as well. "

That doesn't seem terribly involved, but hopefully dealers are more cooperative on this if it needs done.

Did you have heat before? I have heat now, so I'm assuming it will still be there.

I have a 2012 LT Tahoe with DL8 mirrors. I know the 2012 LTZ has DL8 & UFT mirrors. UFT means they have the blindspot detector. Can I upgrade to these? My Tahoe has backup sensors already. Do I have the wiring to support this? I also purchased used drivers and passenger side switches from a Tahoe/Yukon that had folding mirrors. Just have to get the mirrors.

From what I have read, the switches should be good to go with DL3 mirrors without having to go to the dealer for reprogramming. But I don't know about DL3 & UFT mirrors.
