My first guess would be something to do with the rear doors. That its something you don't have, such as for a hatch glass open, or wiper, and you have barn doors..

Purple wire does do speed sensor, and to cruise control..

Is that purple, yellow gray wires?

Duh... Meant to check that first. Just checked it and no power at all. Checked it with no key installed, key to On position, and with car running. Nada o_O

Any chance yours is a 2wd w/o stabilitrak? I'm thinking maybe that 3 button switch that would be
purple wire to stabilitrac
yellow and blue or gray to 4wd high and 4wd low.

I don't think that's the MBEC, I think that's the LBEC. What about on the cover?
You could check if your hazards are working.
Power folding mirrors?
Rear Blower?

Is there any chance that's a data link connector?

Wouldn't be for power folding mirrors.

I have it too, but it's plugged in. The other half goes up. Not sure how far, but up.

Thank you all for your replies, i really appreciate the efforts :)
I do have a 4wd without the stabilitrac, i checked for power as mention above but didnt try it with the hazards on.
i'll do that in a bit.
i was thinking it might be for heated mirrors, but apparently my rig came standard with them and i checked that they are working correctly.
so i'm pleased with that as least.
