I have a 2015 Yukon XL SLT. When I remote start the vehicle, the heated seats don't turn on when cold out (down into the 20's lately...nor does the fan really blow that hard until you actually push the start button)

In both my 2007 1500, and my 2011 2500 the heated seats come on. I saw some videos where its an option (on a 2016 suburban) to control whether the seats cool, or heat with remote start under vehicle settings. I can not find anywhere that this is an option I can turn on or off.

I have search online and this forum and not coming up with anything. I just cant imagine why they would remove this feature.

Anyone know anything about this?

I have both settings on (heated/cool) with remote start. NEVER felt the seat was heated in the winter or cool in the summer. Does this work for others? Would I hear the fan for the cooled seats at least if this worked. Maybe mine has been broke since day 1.

The "new" heated seats won't feel like they heated with the remote start because nobody was sitting in it during the remote start runtime. I thought mine were not working either until I sat in it on a cold morning and did a remote start, they began to heat up after 5-7 mins. Common complaint of the new way they work. Also, they will not get as hot as older models did.

I have a 2017 Tahoe and my seats get plenty hot in the winter and plenty cool in the summer. This is manual setting and not remote start.
