i had an older car rotted out rear passenger floor. i just hacked out the bad rust riveted a blank piece of sheer metal over the whole and coated the underside there with that thick tar undercoating. that was a 91 escorti picked up for free if i believe. another store but ya free fixed it as cheap as possible drove it for a year and sold it for 500 bucks.

Honda owner here too:

06 Accord EXL, Purchased new > 150k miles. Traded it in when the AC went out, for a Taurus.. BLAAHH!!
13 Accord Sport, Purchased at 26k > 60k. Got it after having that Awful Taurus for 6 months.
Current: 17 Accord Sport SE, Purchased new > currently like 17k miles. Love this car, plan on handing it down to my kid in 7 years time.

All with the I4, manual transmission. Never replaced a clutch.

Really? Well my 06 I put every one of those 150k miles on that car.... And never had an issue with the 5 spd trans. The 13 and the 17 have a 6 sp... The service guy did say the clutch would likely be due around 80-100k which surprised and concerned me.... :/

ya they were pretty decent prior to 2013. apparently there are issues with the new ones im definitely seeing alot of people with the need to replace the clutch. however fyi there is supposedly a better aftermarket clutch out there. mines an auto so ive never looked into it but i see it mentioned regularly.

We had three V6 Accords at work. I was “testing” the blue one by sprinting from one cluster of cars to the next. Came over a hill and there was a radar trap. I was flying.

Ahead of me in the right lane was a blue Accord. Ahead of me in the left lane was a third blue Accord! No ticket. I decided then a V6 Accord (still available wi5h a manual, though rare) might be the best sleeper ever.
