With my trans in my tahoe probably being toast I'm thinking about buying a suburban in rough shape and using good parts from my tahoe to fix it up a bit. It has captain's chairs in the second row, can I remove those and replace with the 2nd row bench in my Tahoe? or is there a way to remove the captain's chairs or fold them down so I can camp comfortably in the back?

Depends on the model years. The bench should swap using the outside bolt holes the bench should fold forward and the up like your buckets. Look on the bottyof the bench for the latches that catch when folded back to ride position.

They're both 02s, but can you fold the captain's chairs up so that they're out of the way?

No the seats will not swap. You can swap from buckets to bench (or vice versa) within the same body style, but not from Tahoe to Suburban. The floors are shaped differently and the brackets are not the same.
