Hey all, I have a 99 Tahoe two door and my dash, like most, is cracking to the point of falling apart. Does anyone know if a replacement dash is available anywhere? I have searched far and wide but can't find anything. I would rather not go with the Dashskin, etc dash covers but it's looking like my only choice. Thanks for your thoughts.

The dash is one big assembly, so the top part with the defrost vents is not separate. GM quit making them years ago, so the only real options are a salvage yard (car-part.com is a good search engine) or eBay.

They do show up on eBay fairly frequently. Expect to pay just north of $500 shipped. Replacing them isn’t that bad.

Thanks for your reply. It seems that the is my only option. Don't think I want to spend that much, will probably end up going with a dash cover.

I did see one about 5 weeks ago on e-bay for $700. It was out of a junk yard. I thought they were crazy so I didn't reply. Paying that much money for something that will crack in possibly a year is crazy to me. Thank you for the reply. I now know in what direction I will go in.

If the idea I have works I will send post photos and possible build for the other chevy guys out there stuck like me.

Again thanks for the help.

I have finally found a dash with very min. cracks. I will have to doctor it up and install later this week.
I wanted to purchase a new dash for the hopes of not needing to change the dash again in a year or two. Pulling a dash out of the junk yard is only a temporary fix. The replacement dash from a junk yard is the same age as my original one. New dash would have been new material and lasted a log time, just saying. I'll post photos of the process. Thanks for the comments.
