hello everyone i have a 05 tahoe LT autoride and im having issues with my a/c its been tripple digits lately and my a/c compressor only kicks on when im on the freeway if im in traffic or just driving on the street the compressor shuts off ,and when I push the a/c button it blinks 3xs like its actually cold outside which means its not available . Also i changed the ambient temp sensors in the front with oem GM ones and no changes took it to the dealer and they keep saying its the outside ambient temp which i replaced already im stomped

i just had the same issue in my regal. climate control said -32 degrees, ac wont work, it would come and go showing the right or close to the right temp, but once it locked up at -32 no compressor function at all.

theres always a chance you got a new bad sensor, it happens even ac delco stuff.

mine was like 6 bucks, if they wont replace its worth it to toss another in there.

check the wires tot he sensor are not damaged too.

The blinking snowflake just means ac isn't available, either the controls are set wrong like defrost is selected, freon in low, or most likely in your case the condenser isn't getting enough air blowing on it or the air that is blowing on it is too hot for the condenser to work right. Maybe the fans aren't working, there is something blocking the condenser fins, or the freon is low. My 02 does it because I have an intercooler in front of the radiator I think. After driving awhile it starts working again.
