So, I bought a Sony XAV-AX5000 a month or so ago and finally got around to installing it today. I ordered through Crutchfield so it was completely painless. The customer service rep made sure I had the right wiring and everything so that was good. I got the PAC RP5-GM31. Anyways, when I got done matching all of the head unit wires to the wires coming off the RP5 (I assumed you're supposed to just match the colors up and that's what I did), I noticed I had three wires without a match:

This pinkish one is labeled "nav output" and comes off the "radio connections" port on the RP5.

This blue one with white stripe comes off the "radio select" port on the RP5.

This blue one comes off the "radio connections" port on the RP5; it's not labeled. So I need to know what to do about those. All the wires that come off the head unit are connected to the RP5.

Also, I have two plugs coming out of the Tahoe that don't look like they have anywhere to plug into on the HU:

Another problem I'm having is that I'm getting some sort of signal leak even when I'm not playing anything: BB King's Bluesville (SiriusXM channel) is coming through the speakers at low volume no matter what I'm doing on the HU. This channel would always come on when I had the old GM nav unit in whenever I started the truck, no matter what channel I was playing when I shut it off (which was never Bluesville, btw). The volume buttons do nothing to change the volume of Bluesville. I don't even think the XM antenna is plugged in, so this is truly baffling to me.

Other than that, I don't think there are any functionality issues. Backup camera works, audio sounds good, Carplay works, but the steering wheel controls need to be programmed.

Any help would be much appreciated.

(@NathanJax is good with stuff like this right? Also maybe @swathdiver ?)

Also I tried to program my steering wheel controls but I got an error message. Guessing something is hooked up wrong there.

Well I think I got it fixed. I called PAC and their customer service was very helpful. XM signal leak was caused by the red and white RCA connectors coming out of the vehicle--those didn't need to be plugged into my new HU. Steering wheel controls didn't work because the connector wasn't plugged into the HU--I thought the connector was an aux plug so I didn't do anything with it when I was installing it. Turns out it goes into the blue jack marked "remote." Hope this helps someone out in the future.
