Got two Sylvania Zevo 3157 LED bulbs for my brake lights today, and decided to test fit one in the turn signal plug just to see if it would hyperflash. I found that if I put the blinker on on that side, it would start off flashing normally for the first three or so blinks, then gradually ramp up to hyperflashing in about 2-3 blinks. Interestingly enough, it didn't hyperflash with hazards no matter how long I left them on. My thinking is that this would be a software issue rather than a hardware issue since it doesn't hyperflash all the time. I don't want to wire in load resistors, and I know I can get my BCM programmed to take the hyperflash out. Is there any other solution to the issue?

Solutions....

1. Easy...Leave the bulbs stock.

2. Cheap.... install resistors.

3. Proper... have the BCM reflashed to be LED compatible.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. Also, I've been following your build thread and really enjoying it. Are your turn signals Morimotos by any chance?

Thanks for the compliment... no they are not.

I had Morimoto low beam bulbs before switching to LED low beams.... they make good products.
