That'd be a 10-4.

That "tape" they are referencing is just like a foam/anti-rattle deal. Clips hold it on. The clips are broken off his too.
Clips broke off both sides, passenger and driver side. Dealer wanted 250 to fix both. Instead I used gorilla glue and some clamps,,Garbage. No warranty

I’m new to this thread- just bought a 15 Suburban and 2 of my panels are about to fly off. Would someone mind telling me which gorilla tape specifically to get so I can repair at home? Any recommendations are welcome and appreciated!!

Any foam 2 sided tape should work. But don’t try to bend it back pull back the weather strip / door seal and remove the screws that hold the door trim in.

I replaced the trim pieces and it was a 5 minute job.

The applique has been discontinued by GM but you can find them NEW on ebay or Amazon. I have searched Google for directions on how to replace these parts but haven't found anything. It appears to be pretty simple but I have questions. Does the door panel have to be removed? Does the chrome window trim have to be removed? It appears the chrome trim will have to be either loosened or removed?

You don’t have to remove the door panel. It is very easy. Pull back the black rubber door seal and remove 2-3 torx screws and it will come right out. I believe one of the screws will loosen the chrome trim you are talking about. I don’t recall the process exactly; but, it really is very simple.

There is a new part number the for trim I believe this is the # I used for the left side: 84263144
