My wife and I had a discussion yesterday and she has decided we should get a 2018 Yukon Denali. So I spoke to my local GMC dealer where we had test drove it and he wouldn't come down more that 5% from msrp. So I checked with several other GMC dealers in the area and it looks like 5% off is pretty standard now. Then a friend suggested Laura GMC near St. Louis and they seem to be in the 10% off msrp range. Has anyone dealt with Laura? Is there a reason why they undercut my local Chicago land dealers? Are there any differences between their in stock Denali's and the ones locally? It would be a 5 hour drive for me so I would prefer to buy locally, but would take the drive for the lower price. Could anyone recommend a Chicago dealer I should talk to? Denali's are not in short supply so I wonder why they are not willing to negotiate further. Also, since I'm in no particular hurry should I wait for end of model year sales? Sorry for all the questions but would like some advice.

I have no experience with Laura GMC, but noticed you said it was a conversation with your wife. Knowing how most of those conversations go, was it something like this? "John, I'd like a new SUV and think the Denali looks great. Let's get one of those."

LOL.....kidding, but I'm married so am fully aware of these kind of "conversations." Best of luck in your search :D

I purchased from Laura in late 2016 and they were great to deal with. I live in Baltimore so I had to fly in to sign the paper work and I had the vehicle shipped. I waited until year end clearance that started on Nov 1st to get the best deal. BE ready to move fast because people were calling and leaving deposits over the phone on the Denali's. What ever price you see on their website is the price you pay. No games at all. They were 8k cheaper than any dealer in the DC/MD/VA area.

It has been discussed on here before and on the truck forum and everyone was happy with their purchase. May be able to do a Google search for other threads. They will pick you up at the airport and the transaction is pretty quick according to what I have read.

I know people that like Apple chevy, but Laura is tough to beat. As you've seen once already in this thread, people come from all over for Laura. She be smokin.

Laura had 18% off on 18 models just 2 months ago and i'm sure the deals will be back soon. They are a volume dealer so they tend to have additional incentives once GM offers nation wide deals.

Bought from Laura..... I live in the west suburbs of Chicago (Bartlett), I took the Amtrak down and they picked me up at the station. I was in/out in no time and drove it back home. Seamless transaction and the price was nearly $2,000 better than I could do up here from a dealership where a good friend is the parts manager. They are able to offer discounts that other dealers can't due to the insane amount of vehicles they move. They are the largest volume GMC dealer in the nation.

Do you know, or does anyone else know if Laura takes trade-in's? I have a low miles 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit I'd like to trade. BTW, I'm in Naperville, not too far from Bartlett. Also, what's the procedure for working with Laura? Do I just call them and tell them what I want and if so, how do you pay the vehicle? Will they take a credit card deposit followed by a check when I get down there?
