I have a 2016 Tahoe LS and I want to have bright headlights like my 16 Silverado. The Tahoe has the fish eye/projector style healights but came with standard halogen bulbs . I believe my Silverado has LED bulbs which obviously are much brighter. The dealer can only guess if the bulbs from say and LT or LTZ Tahoe will fit. They also can only look it up if I give another Vin with the lights I think will work. Their system is old as dirt. I have tried aftermarket LED light that pkug and play but they suck and are actually dimming out. I prefer not to cut into the stock electrical system to do an HID.
Thanks.

I don't understand it at all how gm will put hid bulbs in the lower model pick ups but not the higher model suv. I believe in chevy the only way to get the hid in the tahoe is with the premier, I could be wrong, but I have an slt yukon and it wasn't even an option. Don't put led bulbs in with the projector housing, you won't get the desired output youre looking for. Buy an aftermarket hid plug and play set up, you can get them from 40-200$ around the internet. Theyll be a small mod youll have to do to the bulb cover on the back of the headlight for the wires to the ballast but its a simple fix.

This.

Or, what I did was to upgrade to silverstars (or the like).
