Test drive it thoroughly at various speeds and various terrain to make sure it doesn’t boom, buffet, or vibrate. If it does, run.

I recommend doing some searches and research on this forum. Others have described it much better and in greater detail than I can provide you in a short response. But its important and well worth your time. I hope this helps.

I have a '15 LTZ. Been very happy with it. I do not experience what they guys above mentioned but it is well documented. Drive it at all speeds. Spend some time in it before purchasing; put some miles on it. Test everything; all electronics. Few things I had to take it in for were both driver and passenger heated seat. Rear window defogger wires fell off. Power tailgate strut failed. Black molding on doors broke lose. I absolutely love it. Great driving vehicle.

I had a '15 LT and we had issues with the AC which affected others but it was a nightmare as there was a national backorder on the condenser. But the lower ball joints had to be replaced at 40k which i wasn't thrilled with. The leather tore on the side of the seat in between the controls for the seat and the top of the seat cushion and for a 2wd it got worse gas mileage than our "17 4wd. Maybe we got a bad one but i feel it was that whole never buy a vehicle the first year of a body change....but who knows.

I would check this site out as it shows some pretty good information https://www.carcomplaints.com/Chevrolet/Tahoe/

I purchased my 15 Tahoe LTZ for 47K with 28K miles on it. The only issue I had was buffeting from the black window panels. These were changed out by the dealer without hassle since it was a known issue. One other issue I had was the sunroof would not close all the way about 65 MPH. Again, the dealer fixed that without a hassle. I am impressed with the vehicle and the customer service from the dealer. This may be dealer specific though.

The one caveat is the gas mileage as compared to what the sticker stated. No matter how gently I drive this Tahoe, I seem to get around 14-16 MPG around town. I also only get around 19 MPG on the highway. I believe for the highway MPG rating, they must have tested it on the Salt Flats where there are no hills.

Other than that, I think it is a great vehicle and should have it for at least 10 years.
