Totally depends on $ and how far you wanna go with it. You can bolt on the larger front brakes from 2007-14 if you buy the calipers, too. In terms of rotors, it seems guys like R1 concepts or PowerStop slotted or drilled/slotted. Brembo makes a good blank, or some guys even prefer the stock ac Delco.

I would go new. The cost of rotors has gone way down. The original ACDelco rotors are nice. Wagner, raybestos e-coated rotors are another alternative. ACDelco pads are pretty expensive. But I do like them. There are lots of pad options online for you to choose from. Get a quality ceramic. No cheap stuff. And lastly, use only Sil-Glyde to lube caliper bolts. I found out the hard way brake grease can jam your calipers as the it heats up, evaporates, and hardens. Nothing on the brake shims or pad ears. Shims should be dry and clean.

If you can wait for the delivery get the AC Delco pads and rotors from Rock Auto. Good quality at a decent price.

Thanks for all the replies gentleman.!

I had the Mechanic look it over and he suggested i just buy the rear calipers and brake pads. Rotors are still good.

update as an earlier poster said, Install the later front rotors, calipers and pads. Best upgrade I ever did to our 03 Tahoe, better than the Black Bear tune

ERIC:2cents: All good advise given here, nothing wrong with going OEM AC Delco as PNWstorage suggested. Using a different PAD that doesn't match the OEM rotor's sometimes does not work. Good luck. BTW, welcome to the forum.
