I have an 04 with a BB tune and I love the way the truck runs and shifts.

That being said my wife's 2016 Tahoe 6spd is the most annoying vehicle to drive.

Always in the wrong gear & sputters if I take off with less that 3/4 throttle. So basically if I don't beat on it constantly I really have no desire to drive it. Been like that since new and it only has 8 k miles on it.

So will a BB tune help this truck? I'm figuring if it holds a gear for a little longer, a reduction in torque management, and getting rid of the AFM then it might be bearable.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

The shift points are the biggest complaints on these vehicles. With the TCM tuning, we can certainly clean the shifts up, and avoid the "gear hunting".

I'm so tempted to get the BB tune on my 16 Yukon with the 5.3 & 3:42 gears. I hate the way it shifts. So JennaBear, is the On Star diagnostics reports I receive monthly affected or notice the tune? I'd love for this to drive and shift like my 01 Silverado with 3:73 gears and 5.3, or better.
