In my 2010 Tahoe, I would transfer Books on Disc to my Ipod Nano (4th or 5th Generation) as albums. The sound system would play the book continuously through all Discs (Albums) and start where it stopped when I left the vehicle.
My new 2016 Yukon Denali stops at the end of each "song" on each album now. There must be a command for continuous play or sequence somewhere, but I can not find it.
Can someone suggest a solution?
Thank you!

Still having a problem. My work around includes:
Linking all tracks on each disc when I download to iTunes, and then making a Playlist for all discs in the book.
The sound system stops at the end of each disc (album), goes to the next album and does not play. The controls still show it is playing, but it is not. I then have to hit the Music Symbol button, find the next disc in the playlist, and then play that disc. It is distracting to focus on the sound system instead of paying attention to the road.
Has anyone experienced this same problem and found a solution?

Hmm...tried plugging the ipod into a stand alone speaker? Just saying it would be a good step to verify which unit is causing the problem ipod vs truck

Yes, I verified the ipod was working fine.
I linked all the tracks on each disc and could play one disc at a time.
The system would stop playing at the end of each disc even though the controls showed it was still playing (the play button did not appear). I would have to go to Media, find the Ipod, select the Playlist, and then pick the disc number. It was pretty distracting when trying to drive in heavy traffic.
I reset all of the factory settings on the ipod, loaded a book, and the sound system would not recognize the ipod at all on any of the 5 USB ports. Went to the dealer, two of the USB ports had quit working. Am scheduled this week to get those replaced under warranty. The solution that was recommended was to get the new Ipod Nano with bluetooth and use the bluetooth or switch to Iphone 7 and use the bluetooth connection from it.
Just disappointed with having to do that, since the ipod (figured it out to be 5th generation Nano) worked great in the 2010 Tahoe and I could load multiple books on disc and it would play them in sequence by Author's name.

Latest work around after many hours of trial and error.
I went to an iPhone 7 with AT&T. I loaded Books on Disc with tracks joined on each disc.
The Yukon is playing albums (each disc is an album) via Bluetooth.
I did get the USB ports replaced under warranty, but it did not change the pausing.
Using Bluetooth, the Book is still stopping at the end of each album, and I have to go to the iPhone to play the next album (disc) to continue the book.
Next step is to combine the albums (discs) into a Playlist and see if it goes from the first disc to the next.
I still have to take my eyes off the road and mess with the iPhone to get the next disc to play.
I am not sure the car manufacturers' are ready for me to trust my life to self-guiding cars when I can't even get a book on disc to play using their technology.
Very frustrating.

Still working on getting a book on disc to play using the iPhone 7.
Found Carplay in the settings on the iPhone. Clicked on that in the Yukon and it went through some gyrations.
The Book will play an album in a Playlist and then it will either start over on the same album or go to the next album in the Playlist. Appears to be totally random what it chooses to do. If it doesn't go to the next album in the playlist, then I am taking my attention off the road to find and select the next album on the iPhone.
Still haven't found a cause or solution.

Still wrestling with this same problem.
Some books on disc when transferred to Iphone 7, tracks linked, and added to a Playlist will play all discs and the book is read in proper order and others only play one disc. I have to go to the next disc in the playlist using the Iphone. Not cool when traveling on the Interstate.
