SWEET. I think I read in a previous post, that it seems to also manage the weird tranny shifting patterns that the suburbans have? I feel it's always going to a higher gear, even when the situation doesn't call for it.. My last denali did not have that issue,, it shifted when it was supposed to,

Until you decide what you want to do tune wise...simply push the Trailer/Tow button each time you drive it and it will hold the shifts longer.

Thanks John! So, basically from the way you and a couple of a others are reacting to the performance gains from this unit, it seems to me that it should make the 5.3 "almost" feel like you're driving a 6.2.. ?

As a matter of fact...my sales rep and I took a '15 Denali 6.2/6 speed and my '16 Yukon SLE w/5.3 Tuned/6 speed and 3:42 gears on a back road recently for a match up. My 5.3 launched every run 2~3 lengths on the 6.2 and held that distance +1 length to 100 each of 4 runs. He drove mine on the last run to see if it made any difference...it didn't.

Haven't done it with an 8 speed yet...should be closer due to the gearing advantage the 8 speed gives.

I know my '17 6.2 8spd feels much quicker than my '11 6.2 6spd with tune did.

'11 was geared 3.42 and so is my '17 as it has max tow package

Yeah...you know I can't figure out how the GMC folks decide that we can buy a 6.2 8 speed Pick Up with 3:42 gears...but we can't buy the same combo in a Yukon. We can buy a 5.3/8 speed Sierra but can't buy that combo in a Tahoe or Yukon.

I guess the "Bean Counters" overrule the Engineers sometimes...LOL.

Is the monthly on star diagnostics report affected by the tune or does it show anything different?

It seems that I really need this unit then.. I have NOT been enjoying this 5.3 liter at all, compared the the 14 Denali I just sold.. I mean it's not super slow, but I just loved the pull I felt on the 6.2 and the way the 6.2 shifted gears was flawless compared to this 5.3..i feel like it's lugging the motor half of the time, plus I'm not even getting any better MPG then my 6.2 used to give me..

Can someone with the diablo intune i2 share how they set up their tune. What features they changed to optimize performance ? I've never used a tuner before and I mainly wanna clean up that dead spot in the gearing.
