I recently purchased a 2016 Yukon XL Denali. I'm mostly happy, not much of the noise issue, just a small pressure when i'm driving 40-60mph at times.

My question is about driving at highway speeds. It's hard to explain, but during my 35 mile highway commute I'll feel an odd sensation perhaps twice each way (at differing locations). It's like the truck floats or drifts, or maybe it tracks, just ever so slightly. Like the steering wheel disconnects for a fraction of a second. Usually it's where the highway is curving a bit, always at 70 mph highway speeds, and only the driver would notice.

Things that come to mind are:
- it's just new tires and the road, don't worry about it
- over inflated tires?
- something about 4 wheel drive?
- or, something catastrophic such as a LCA not right, or steering?

I've driven a lot of vehicles in my life, my prior vehicle was a 2WD crew cab Sierra denali, so roughly similar. Never felt it.

OK...you have lane change assist operating. What is happening is when you change lanes with out using your lane change signal the computer tries to force the vehicle into a straight line following the lane. I guess GM put this function in their high end vehicles to assist drivers that for some reason can't keep their vehicle in a straight line !!

So...either use your lane change signal or turn the adaptive system off.

Oh really!? That's something I didn't consider. My truck would buzz my seat, but not alter anything.

It tripped me out too when I first felt it. The button to turn it off is to the left of the instrument cluster.

It's awesome. Turn on the adaptive cruise, and active steering and lean back in your seat! Just pray the camera can read the lines on the road correctly and you are free to pick your nose, or whatever!

Thank you all, i can't wait to turn it off and try without it! I honestly preferred the seat buzzing my rear end in my old truck. Maybe it'll grow on me...

I had to get used to that too. I didn't believe the salesmen when he told me the car drove itself.

Then one night on the highway, I drove a good 8 miles with touching the wheel on cruise control. It's pretty sick!

Technology now a days. We get visits all the time to our shop. I guess sales aren't doing their jobs explaining features of vehicles.

Yeah...pretty cool...warning though...if the stripes are faded or the camera lenses are dirty you might not get an accurate read.

I get a laugh out of it when my wife drives ours...she REFUSES to use Turn Signals at all !!! Must be a family thing...LOL...so I leave it on and when gets behind the wheel after me it drives her nuts...she hasn't learned where to dis-able the function.
