Hello,
I have an AutoCal for my 2002 1500hd that has BBP tunes on it. I just bought a 2003 3500 drw with duramax and Allison. I am curious if I can use my AutoCalm to tune the duramax?

I have 4.56 gears in my silverado 6.0L with 6" and 35" tires. The 4.56 really helped the tourque lost by the big tires. Before I would get stuck in 2nd gear towing my boat at 3k rpm and no torque. With the 4.56 gears I can pull the hills in any gear I want. Just keeps pulling!
I'm hoping to get some advice from others that have done the scan cable tune from BB. I received the EFI Live Flashscan V1.2 cable last week. Plugged it into my truck. The log light flashes each time I push the start button, but never stays on.
I decided to try the laptop. I downloaded...
Bump...I am in the same boat. I found a wrecking yard that has the 130amp for $45 with exchange. Wondering if I can get a bigger OEM alt for cheap. Looks like the 2004/2005 has a 145amp or 160amp option. Can I use the 2005 in a 2002 Silverado 6.0L?
Thanks,
Travis
I will try to run the truck with out it. Only should affect my speedo and maybe ABS.
I might consider 92 for a while to see what the difference is. I only get 8 mpg, extra $10 every fill up might not be worth the extra power. I really don't have a power issue. Mostly a cooling issue right...
I am in the queue to get a scan cable tune. I currently have a Hypertech Power Programmer tune due to a lift and different gearing.
Should I turn off the Hypertech Tune before starting the Scan Cable tune?
Thanks,
Travis
