    Our trucks VS Toyota Sequoia???

The Toyota-level reliability returns for Tahoes and Yukons were coming around 5 or 6 years ago. They aren't as good presently with the new models. GM and Toyota had the same thing going for them at that point in time, that they both had a full-size SUV rolling with old, proven technology...

Pull the trigger on a 2023 or wait for a 2024?

Good question on the lifter issue. My sense is that in that sort of situation, they make production changes quietly and under NDA. If they were too openly descriptive about them they'd get pressure to establish TSBs for previous year models. But I'm not in the industry, so that's just a guess.

Pull the trigger on a 2023 or wait for a 2024?

It comes down to the deal you can get on a '23. Price constant (it won't be), I'd get a '24. You never know what they fixed as they reset production. It's always best to get the newest version of a car design you can. But I bet the deals will be really good on '23s right now.

    The Art of Towing

This is good advice even when you aren't pulling a trailer. I go between Castle Rock, CO and Vail all the time as I live in both spots. There are multiple stretches of long, steep descents on that route including the Eisenhower Tunnel approach and Vail Pass. I am obsessive about engine...

Looking to purchase 2015-2019 Yukon SLE or SLT Not a Denali

Old thread, I wonder whether the OP bought a truck already. I've had a 2016 Tahoe LT from new, it has 95K on it now. It's been fine. Here's what I have to say: The only non-wear maintenance issue I've had to address was a leaky front differential at about 70-75K. About $900. Otherwise it's...

Front Suspension Improvements - anyone interested?

Subbed. I made a similar change a while back to my otherwise stock 2004 Explorer and the outcome was surprisingly noticeable considering the cost. I'd love to see options here.

Slipping or stuttering in 4wd auto mode -- is this normal?

It's safe to say that experience changed me forever as a driver. Whenever I see people driving like morons on slick roads, now I always think "ah, you haven't had your accident yet." I was actually on my way from Denver to Colorado Springs to make a sales presentation. After the wreck the...

Slipping or stuttering in 4wd auto mode -- is this normal?

Snarkiness aside, I can objectively see how a mechanical differential that activates the front axle based on slippage at the rear would be engaging and disengaging the front differential a lot more often than a dedicated AWD system that always has it engaged at some level. In the same way as...

Slipping or stuttering in 4wd auto mode -- is this normal?

The difference would be that I posted text from the actual GM owners documentation and you've been reading chat board posts by, well...whomever. Vive l'internet.

    Rattles!

I think I have this one. Something in my exhaust system occasionally vibrates annoyingly, usually when I'm at a stop with the vehicle running. I'll get under there and see if there are any clips missing.

2017 Tahoe 4x4 Suspension is gone!

I came here to create the same thread, but might as well pile on yours. My 2016 Tahoe is an LT with the mechanical suspension. It's approaching 100,000 miles; I've had it from new. Generally speaking not much has gone wrong with it. It's springtime in Colorado as I write this, which means...

Post what y'all tow with your Tahoes, Yukons, and Suburbans!

We recently paid this camper forward to some family members whose kids are younger than ours and needed it more. But we had some great excursions in it. This one was at Rocky Mountain National Park. This little camper hardly affected mileage and the truck seemed to not know it was even there.

Slipping or stuttering in 4wd auto mode -- is this normal?

Although not always optimal for efficiency and wear of your vehicle 4wd driveline, AUTOMATIC 4 HI can be used on any road condition without risk of damaging your vehicle.

Slipping or stuttering in 4wd auto mode -- is this normal?

Interesting. I suppose it's possible you managed to find the limits of the automatic 4WD's switching capability. These trucks are great products, but probably not at the vanguard of technology in many areas, especially drivetrain. Now that I'm thinking about it, when I know for certain I'll...
