    Catalytic converter protection?

Forgot to mention, the catalytic converter is also etched. LAPD has a program where you can get this done. The premise remains the same; harden your asset so that it's extra work for would be thieves. Nothing will stop a determined thief; but most move on to softer targets. Sort of like...

    Catalytic converter protection?

Nothing except his/her desire to work harder, not smarter I guess. I had that put on six months ago. It's still on there, so I guess the added security makes it less apt for theft again. That's what security is, right? Thief probably goes on to lower hanging fruit.

    Catalytic converter protection?

Some jerk stoke my goddaughter's Honda Accord catalytic converter. Ordered a lock for it from Auto Accessories Garage and new cat and lock installed. Very expensive fix and I hope that jerk gets craps in his gym shorts. Not sure if they have something for your truck but you can check their...

Post pics of your avalanche or EXT

*dusting off this thread* Happy Monday from Erbil, Iraq :D Shipped Loki down to Belize so I have something to drive when I'm down there. Also...to free up room in my driveway for a 'Vette or Silverado EV (Avalanche clone, IMO). Dunno...he looks better down there than in LA  Fortunately...

    Odd Noise Avalanche and Tahoe.....

I had the same problem until I had my dash replaced. I attributed it to the multiple cracks causing the dash to become loose and jiggle relentlessly under speed. If there was a bolt loose, it had to be under the dash somewhere.

    Newbie with 24" questions

I ran 24x10 on 295/35R24 without rubbing. I only had to get the fender wells pushed in a bit when I upgraded to 305/30ZR26.

clay bar DIY or get a pro?

I've always had my truck professionally detailed. Wax buildup is always a problem. Recently took it to a body shop for color sanding and it looks like a fresh coat of paint.

Ever sell it and regret it?

Regret selling my 1987 VW Scirocco 16v. That car was fun and used to eat first generation Honda Civics for breakfast with the mods I had on it. Regret selling my 2001 Ford SportTrac. I don't care what anyone says about Ford, that truck was reliable and easier to park than my Avalanche.

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

Yes, steel braided brake lines to replace the rubber ones. Don't half *ss it, you'll only piss yourself off. When I went from 24" to 26" wheels, I upgraded my brakes and it didn't make much difference until I added Russell stainless steel brake lines.

    E85 issues? 07 Tahoe z71

I had the same issue when I tried E85 on my 07 Avalanche. Ended up having to get the AV towed (yep, it died) to the dealership, and they had to replace my fuel pump. Truck performed great with E85, but I don't think the fuel system was used to going back and forth between E85 and 93 octane...
