    Cognito Pitman idler arm support

I was going to when redid my steering. However were enough stories of the kit hitting the frame/draglink/swaybar, that I decided against it. I have the worst luck with those maybe it will/maybe it won't scenarios.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Temps cresting 80F routinely here on the Gulf, so it was time for a/c. I think this truck will set a record. This will be the 5th compressor installed. First was replaced under warranty, early 00's. Third was one of those $200 ebay bundles I installed in like 2010. The fourth was the cheapest...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Did the rear brakes. Centric blanks with fully rebuilt calipers (new phenolic pistons, seals, shields, and sliders). Stoptech SS line. Not super thrilled with how the Dupli-color red came out, but its not too bad. Got something special coming for the front, probably a couple weeks out.

MBRP vs Magnaflow cat-back, opinions on either?

Finally time for an exhaust for my 01 Burb.... I was pretty much set on the Magnaflow #15665 catback kit. Decided to take another look at what's available and saw the MBRP kit. http://mbrpexhauststore.com/s5024409-mbrp-cat-back-single-side-suburban-yukon-xl-00-06-t409-ss/ MBRP offers either a...

Escalade roof rack help on installation

I think there is supposed to be a slight gap there for drainage, yours does look a little excessive. Those bottom end pieces are adjustable, from the bottom. Not sure if that's what you meant you adjusted.

    Trailer talk: Tires...ST vs LT?

We go by what the placard calls for, if there is, or if its gone there's a couple Goodyear/other guide books we have. We won't put Passenger tires on Super Duties/HDs, 2500/3500 cargo vans, etc. I really doubt the trailer placard calls for LT's, but anything is possible. I guess in that...

    Trailer talk: Tires...ST vs LT?

The difference with ST tires is a thicker bead ring and thicker nylon plies, per avg tire size vs P or LT tires. The main thing ST try to accomplish, is not folding under the rim while turning/maneuvering. ST max load ratings are usually way high per given tire size as well. LT's can work on...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

None of the controls work currently. I battled with this a lot. I do feel its a bit chinzy they dont work. But its an 01 so it didnt have any wheel buttons. So I would have to change clock springs, which I believe were orientated differently and redo some stuff. Starting with a 03+ would have...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

2016 steering wheel, shifter, and ignition key swap into my 01. Thought about doing a how-to, but I felt some of the steps (like dealing with passkey) should only be done if you're brave enough on your own. I ended up buying 2 columns, the wheel, new upper ISS, lower column bushing, and having...

Absolute best tie rods? H2 upgrades won't work?

Thanks for the response. After some exhaustive research, it looks like only brands that make 1500/SUV overkill tie rods are Rare Parts and Kryptonite, so that was a bit lucky. I live on the Gulf, and always at the beach or boat ramp, so the sand and saltwater probably eliminate heim's for me...

Absolute best tie rods? H2 upgrades won't work?

01 Surb 2wd, 3/5 McGaughy's drop kit, Spohn rear links, 22" snowflakes.... I rebuilt the entire front end in March. Everything minus the center link and steering box. Haven't been happy since. I used decent stuff, some pricer MEVOTECH parts from Rockauto, and ac delco tie rods. Replaced pass...

    15" EradiSpeed1 front brake kit on GMT800?

I want to get the 15" ES1 kit for my 01 Sub' 2wd. https://baer.com/15-Front-EradiSpeed-One-Rotor-Upgrade-2301049.html The kit is for the 07+ GMT900's, but the kit will work if I upgrade to 07+ calipers/brackets? Just looking to bounce this idea off someone(s) else before continuing. Thanks a...
