    Servo stuck in 4l60e

The servo is stuck in my 4l60e. Not the cover, the servo and pin assembly itself. Cover and 4th apply piston are already out. The rest won't budge. Is there another way to remove it? Drop the valve body?

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

Looks like the thermostat was it! Sitting idle in a parking lot at 210°, only hit max of 214° in the same drive thru I've overheated in previously! AC on and everything! Thank you everyone. I feel a lot better about driving this up and down i95 in the next coming days! Only issue it has at this...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

Here's a video I took just now been working on it for about an hour. I replaced the thermostat with a new 187°. Heat is strong, scan tool confirms operating temperature and it hasn't gone over 210° yet. Seem to be adding coolant little by little. Squeezing the hose about every 5 minutes yeilds...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

Trans fluid is fine yes, it looks great. Rebuilt trans within the year according to the person I bought it off, fluid is used but nowhere ready to be changed based on what I've seen. Yes, it's running Dexcool with distilled water. Flushed everything out real good before replacing the pump to...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

Will report back on that tomorrow. Normally overheats in town and in drive thrus in the middle of the day (90°+ out) Night driving and mornings are fine, holds 189° - 195° when it's cooler out (80° outside at dark is always fine). I've followed the coolant fill procedure I found online...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

My friend let me borrow money to get the tester. I pumped it up to 16psi and my top radiator hose started dripping from the water pump. Reseated it and pumped back to 16psi. No drips anymore, and over the course of 30 minutes it went down from 16psi to 15psi and held. No visible leaks on the...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

I mean I literally don't have the money right now until I get paid...living paycheck to paycheck. Spent all my money on doing the fuel pump. Money I have to my name is $0 until I'm paid, so I'm looking at other things I can do until then like cleaning the radiator. I know they give the money...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

I'll take some pictures when it's light tomorrow. The front of the radiator isn't so bad, but the back of the radiator, if you divide the radiator into quarters horizontally (lengthwise left to right), most of the bottom quarter is essentially bent. There's a lot of large patches of bent fins in...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

Yeah, the fan clutch is smooth and I don't see any leaks or anything on it. It's definitely harder to spin when warmed up, it doesn't spin 100% freely when it's cold... is it supposed to? Like if I spin it as fast as I can it won't go a full rotation. It's loud coming from a stop, but It quiets...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

So I took off my fan shroud and I sprayed out the back of the radiator with my garden hose, and the entire bottom of the radiator essentially, all of the fins are bent. Probably a quarter to a half of the fins on the bottom of the radiator are all bent. I'm assuming that's a source of my...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

It runs hot pretty much no matter what. I also put cardboard underneath my truck when I parked it for a few days, and there was never anything but a small oil leak dripping onto it that I already have known about since I bought it. I say there's no coolant in the oil because I have checked the...

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

Solved -- Mix of bad thermostat, air in the cooling system, and a leaking top radiator hose at the water pump side. Reseated the hose and tightened the clamp, replaced thermostat, bled the system for an hour, and truck hasn't gone above 214°F for 4 days as of this edit. Thanks everyone! 2000...

2000 Yukon XL - Non Bose, no bass from factory radio or aftermarket radio

No, I haven't pulled the door panel to look at the speakers. I've checked the tweeters and they look good (to me). Although, I'm not a speaker person so I don't really know what a good or bad speaker looks like. I'll check the ones in the front doors first since I have to replace those window...

2000 Yukon XL - Non Bose, no bass from factory radio or aftermarket radio

Hi everyone, I have a 2000 Yukon xl, non Bose system. The original radio has been replaced because something was wrong with it causing it to flicker on and off, I replaced it with a pioneer single DIN unit. The subwoofer out back has been unplugged because it's blown. However, all of the other...
