    Rear wiper Motor

Not sure if this helps. My 05 Tahoe rear wiper motor did not work since I bought vehicle used about 5 yrs ago, checked fuses, etc.. I toyed with the idea of replacing it until I read ’somewhere’ that sometimes grounding does not work on these very well - read door is basically aluminum...

    Replacement Seat Covers

Yes, the Velcro was on the seat cover replacements, and in the correct location to make alignment smooth. I tried one of the vinyl seat covers - was even perforated. Uggh! Aside from not being able to slide out easily, they were hot to sit on. This was truly “the last straw” before I swapped out...

    Replacement Seat Covers

P.s., my foam was good to start with as the previous owner had new heated seat elements installed, and added the foam to his project. But new foam can be purchased from these guys as well

    Replacement Seat Covers

Hello y5e06, I know all about your hesitation… my 05 Tahoe drivers seat was extremely cracked and ripped. After numerous stitches with a curved upholstery needle, I’d had enough. Ordered this seat off eBay, with much trepidation. Costs for piece are quite reasonable, but I’m in Canada so really...

You might also want to check that grounds to frame/body are making good contact.

    Heater Hose "T"

Yea, I tried to use mini vice grips (set quite loosely on the clips), Worked to depress clips, but had best results was using fingers only. Mine went at 178k miles (seems about par for the course, mileage wise).

    Heater Hose "T"

Thanks! I tend to over-explain the process. Seems obvious and simple, but some of us members like to see it spelled out in detail (Minimize any surprises)

    Heater Hose "T"

Hi All! After reading all threads (some a few times…) I replaced the dreaded T’s this aft. Pretty much as described - the white (in-going to heater core) was easiest to remove. Started at the firewall connection by first pushing in, then depress ‘tabs’ while pulling. Then started with outgoing...

    Heater Hose "T"

Thank you Blk00ss for posting this, and thanks to all who have sent in replies to this issue. I’ve suspected this leak ‘problem’ for a while now, it just isn’t consistent - flares up with very minimal fluid lose but can smell A-Freeze, and then goes away for a month or two, then reappears. I’ll...

    Smell of gas…

Ouch! … but mine is okay - I took someone’s steel garbage into a brand new Nokian winter tire a few months ago while on the highway. Found out the hard way how to change a tire in a winter storm with no shoulder to work on, while on a busy 2 lane rural highway. The spare tire system worked well...

    Smell of gas…

Good additional advice, thanks! I already have a siphon pump, but the spare tire makes a lot of sense. Cheers, Dwayne

    Smell of gas…

hi again Logan5, some questions about dropping the tank - before dropping the tank, did you siphon off some gas first? Or did you just run the tank low? I’m definitely wanting to do this the safest way possible.

    Smell of gas…

Thanks Logan5, I might just try doing it myself. I had a 2001 Safari that needed a new fuel pump installed a few years back. The bill was ~$1,000 CDN - ouch! So if you say it can be done easily, I’ll pursue that. Cheers!
