Morimoto XTR LED Reverse Light Install

After looking at various ways to add an extra reverse light, I bought the Morimoto XTR LED Reverse Light. It mounts at the top of the rear plate using the upper licence plate screws. It was $107 CAD. This is how I did it and I'm sure there's probably a better way. Hopefully, this may help...

    2014 PPV Trailer Connector

It took me a few minutes to realize there's a clip in that notch that has to be released first. In any case, I can't find voltage to any of the pins when it's running with lights on etc. Maybe tapping into the reverse wire in the taillight is a better way to go.

    2014 PPV Trailer Connector

I'm looking into adding some reverse lights powered by the trailer connector. However I can't get the cover off the connector hanging by the rear bumper. I tried turning CCW and pulling on it to no avail. I want to check if there is voltage to any of the pins before I order a trailer pigtail...

What did you do to your NNBS SSV/PPV today?

I gave the front seats and steering wheel a good cleaning. Yuck. Should do that more often.

Another water leak on driver's side

Upon closer inspection of the spotlight hole I see a problem. I'll seal this up better and cross my fingers.

Another water leak on driver's side

I did some leak prevention last year and things improved. However I got in the other day and found water dripping from my hood release lever. The only place I think it might be coming from is a cut in the door weatherstripping near the spotlight hole. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

2014 PPV - Belltech 25004 strut replacement parts list

I wanted to keep mine at stock height so I can't comment on lowering. For stock height Belltech said to purchase 25004 struts for the front and 2412FF shocks for the rear.

2014 Tahoe PPV - Parking brake pedal hard to release

So I'm having a heck of a time with my 2014 Tahoe PPV parking brake. I can set the pedal and it works fine but when it comes time to release it, no matter what I try, I have to push it all the way to the floor with great force before it will release. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

2014 PPV - Belltech 25004 strut replacement parts list

It's great. I can't compare it to the original struts because they were shot from Day 1. The rebounding is gone so I don't have to slow down on bumpy stretches of road any more.

2014 PPV - Belltech 25004 strut replacement parts list

Yes, I kept the stock height. The Belltech instructions said to use 6 rings. We did some measuring and it looked like 5 was closer. I called Belltech tech service and they said to use whatever looked best.

2014 PPV - Belltech 25004 strut replacement parts list

I decided to replace my original 2014 PPV struts. I was getting some unpleasant rebounding after bumps and they were rusty as heck. Here is a parts list for anyone looking to do the same thing. (The springs weren't replaced) Struts - Belltech 25004 - 5 rings matched the original ride height...

    2014 PPV/Hello Everybody :)

I couldn't find a jumpseat/console base for my 2014 so I used some flat steel strapping with holes in it and made 4 "legs" to go down under the inner seat bolts. I'd never use it as a seat like that but the console is solid now. Details in a previous post...
