2005 Yukon Whine Noise Associated with Tach Speed - HELP!!

Transmission pump or Torque converter will need to be ruled out. From another Forum: The pump is turning with the engine so it's always pumping fluid. In park and neutral there is no demand so a cavitating pump will make noise but it will be louder in gear. When diagnosing transmission noise...

2000 Z71 shut off while driving

Spark plug popped out of the engine? Any check engine light? Is this the first time this has aver happened? Only after doing plugs and wires?

Hope you got a warranty from the transmission person. Going that deep into a transmissions rebuild, you would think valve body solenoids would have been replaced along with all the other springs, o-rings, seals. "he is very sure it's not his transmission that is causing the problems", Said...

    Spark plugs

NGK 7397 Iridiums and Denso wires 6718063 from RockAuto. Cost about $80 and they perform flawlessly.

I saw that plug hanging out of the grill. You must live somewhere very cold. If in the rust belt, then all grounds are essential to check and reseat. As for the code for the 1-2 shift solenoid. They fail occasionally, so it could be that easy and they are not expensive. I want to say that you...

2001 Burban, almost no oil pressure even after replacing the oil pump

from: https://dannysengineportal.com/engine-oil-sludge-is-caused-by-your-engine-oil-breaking-down/ "The simplest solution here is to use a, chemical engine sludge remover. There are some sources that don’t really like them; but they are the easiest way, to get rid of sludge. They are typically...

05 Tahoe and 03 Yukon swap

Have you scanned for any codes on your transmission? What do you mean by no 3rd gear? It could be something far simpler than swapping the entire drivetrain. It could be something in the valve body of the transmission.

    2006 chevy Tahoe problems

    Here's a few of those codes and what they mean for your rig: L59 : ENGINE, GAS, 8 CYL, 5.3L M30 : TRANSMISSION, AUTO 4 SPD, HMD, 4L60E, ELECTRONIC GT4 : AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO (DUP WITH 5 X 1) G80 : AXLE POSITRACTION, LIMITED SLIP JH2 : HYD POWER, DISC/DISC, 7,200 LBS KUP : THROTTLE CONTROL...

    4l60E slipping/being erratic.

Go under at look at your clearances. I had to drop the crossmember and lower the transmission just to get my servo out. I still had to beat back the heat shield a little too.

    2006 chevy Tahoe problems

Oh no, that could mean they have done a lot of extra wiring in there and something could be messed up. If the ODB port is not working check the fuses first. Maybe peek under and see how the wiring looks on the back of the plug too.

    2006 chevy Tahoe problems

That sounds like a bunch of little problems. Air conditioner problems can be frustrating and expensive. You really should find a trustworthy local mechanic that does A/C and have them vacuum test the system and recharge it. You really need to find a diagnostic tool/code reader and see if it can...

    4l60E slipping/being erratic.

Like many of us on here, it is a matter of course to replace parts that are 15+ years old. It is really how much you want to do for updating versus waiting until something breaks. I have not heard about timing chains breaking, but it depends on what the previous owners did to it. Hotrodding...

    4l60E slipping/being erratic.

You replaced the entire valve body? Did you inspect the separator plate? Did you inspect the accumulator pistons and springs?

    Heat on 82° only

Depending on your particular system there could be 4 actuators in your dash. As @Colby_e32 said one of the temp actuators is just right of center of the dash at the floor. If you have a full console it is a bee atch to get at. The kick cover has a bolt/screw there that is very tight to get at...
