Intake Manifold Nipple Broken! Please Help

The hose is a connection between the vent, your broken nipple, and the pcv valve. The exact I.D. size, I am unsure of, but I think it is about 3/8". The I.D. of the nipple will be less, typically. Any size, within reason, is better than nothing.

Intake Manifold Nipple Broken! Please Help

You said it yourself, what the hose is for. PCV=Positive Crankcase Ventilation. Without a way to vent the oil system, you can build up pressure and start blowing out seals and leak oil in numerous places. Another reason to use quality oil and filter and change the oil and filter on a schedule.

Taking the Yukon Off Road for Real

With the right wheelbase and tread design, you can surprise yourself on what you can climb. Sometimes letting a little air out of the tires helps with tread to trail contact. If you are ever unsure on a trail/climb/descent, have someone get out and spot you. Helps save tire damage at times. If...

Intake Manifold Nipple Broken! Please Help

Exactly. You may not be able to get the exact size nipple but you should be able to get close enough and use a band clamp if needed.

    Watching closely

Went for $8700. I did see the maintenance and repair sheets from the county garage. Several times, doors were replaced or repaired. No accidents reported because in a government garage. Makes you wonder. I had told my girl that $8k was my limit.

    Car won't start

Could have fluid in a cylinder and hydraulic that cylinder and the interaction between the flex plate and starter are effected. He said it would not crank. The list of "4" does not come in to play till the engine is cranking.

    Car won't start

Not buying the flywheel problem unless someone can explain to me the details. You said you got it back home and "then" discovered the battery 40 amp fuse was blown. How did you get it home? I have seen where the 40 amp fuse was blown because of not hooking battery jump cables correctly....etc...

There are just some days I wish I didn't turn wrenches

I need to be clear about this engine swap. This is all being done at my friend's shop, in Junction City, Oregon. I do not do engine swaps at my home. My neighbor is paying him and I am showing up to help it all along. I am compensated by my neighbor and my friend. I was recently looking to go...
