Steering rattle.
Mine was the bearing but it was more like a clunk than a rattle. Not too bad to change it out. If you take it apart to "exercise" it like treehan77 mentioned you can see if the upper shaft has any play in the bearing.- Mr.Joshua

True. My wife is an OEM girl though, had to talk her into letting me install these other ones. A factory switch that does nothing is UNACCEPTABLE as well as non- working heated leather seats! Sent from a rooted & flashed Droid -

Yep, and two switches with the wiring harness and inline fuses. I was considering just tearing out the factory systems but still use the switches. I'm not comfortable rigging up big heat pads that my family is sitting on though ya know?! Sent from my XT912 using Tapatalk -

I ordered mine from partsgeek. Dorman are the only ones that I could find that made an OEM replacement ... I'm sure you could find a "universal" one cheaper but you may have to modify it or something else to make it fit right. Not worth saving $25/pad to me. It adds up for sure, get a price from... -

That's how I understand how the system works. My drivers side would shut off after a few minutes or right away. Passenger side could run all day... Turn on the drivers side and the passenger side would turn off as soon as the drivers side did. It would probably be beneficial to pull the seat... -
