That's what I'm trying to tell you, its definitely possible to reach ALL bulbs on both sides without removing the bumper. I did it on mine. I have full LEDs low beam/high beam/turn signals headlights and taillights on mine only thing that's not is my license plate bulb. At least that is the case...
It is a pain, but it is doable without removing the bumper. Small hands also help a lot with this job. I was able to swap both of mine out in maybe an hour or two when I did it.
Mine had 90k so not too much more than yours @Chickensandwich.
I would recommend changing it. I did add a bottle of Lucas with the fluid change. She's shifting better than ever now. The black fluid was disgustingly dirty.
Pretty sure all Tahoe’s of this gen use halogen bulbs regardless of trim. I’m not sure if this is applicable
to the Tahoe but this happens a lot on the Yukon? Is it the actual brake light or the light that comes on when the headlights are on?
+1 on this
Did mine without moving anything. Trick was to turn the transmission pan sideways towards the driver side as you are removing it. Took maybe 2 mins when I started doing it like that. Putting it back is the same but in reverse. Just to clarify, this was on my 2015 PPV with a 6L80.
So far the PPV has been great. Been having an annoying creaking from the rear spoiler but some silicone lubricant has been helping. Need to figure it out but might be my hinge. Otherwise I did my transmission fluid change and the shifts are a lot better for sure.. also did the pill flip while I...
So far its definitely made the truck more enjoyable to drive. AFM being 70% of that, the adjusted throttle response 25% and the transmission tune just 5%. I think the PPV already has a great setup going on the trans even on factory configs so I made very minor adjustments to it.
Definitely agree LEDs are the way to go on the halogen projectors. They look great, much better lighting for both low and high beams, and the cut off is perfect.
I actually have some.
-Did full LEDs in the rear taillight too and with two resistors I don’t have any hyper flashing or error.
-Got a super chips flashpaq and adjusted the throttle response, did a light transmission tune, tuned out the AFM/DOD
