Should have died today...I-75 S in ATL/Marietta at Mount Paran. Swerved suddenly left into the HOV lane to avoid a driver coming into my lane, over-corrected and went across all 5 lanes, hit an Army transport vehicle, bounced off of him, back left across 2 lanes scraped the right of another car...
Ok maybe I'm crazy... I thought I'd seen and read about an upgrade for 01 NBS Hoes with the ROUND brake booster to a square hydroboost from Cadillacs? I'm not certain what donors, but can someone point me to a write-up on how to do this mod?
Red fluid dripping from the nose of the transmission...rear seal replacement?
Also what years and models Esky's and Denali's center consoles are compatible with my 01 NBS?
Pics of my Esky cluster as promised....Day and Night. Mnuvv this cluster!
New center caps....
I also began removing the side moldings...not too hard used heat gun to soften the glue and got a fingernail behind it, pulled a bit, more heat gun, put on the gloves and then just patiently let the...
After searching all last night I found this early this AM. https://www.ebay.com/itm/99-5-02-GMC-Chevy-Cadillac-Silverado-Tahoe-Sierra-Escalade-Cluster-Clear-Lens/283698459062?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144
However....Fools and children.... well I got lucky and didn't have to spend another $25...
Yeah thats the entire lens. I'm gonna contact them to see if they know where I can get just the clear plastic face cover. It suck that it's not a simple replacement. I was gonna post my Esky cluster upgrade...but no...dice
Anyone know where I can get the clear plastic for the instrument panels only? Don't want the entire lens, only the clear part that is glued to the top of the speedo. Mine is cracked and looks terrible.
I want to do the 2500 bull nose hood and grill style next for my 01 NBS. I've read that I would need to trim 1" off to fit over the stock bumper OR get the entire HD bumper as well. I also read here in earlier posts that you only need to change the bumper cap with the 45"-50" lower section...
Rocket, I wouldn't say I'm the greatest, but I solder electronics boards with an iron and I flow solder usually with gravity on my side by turning parts in weird directions including upside down, and I sweat pipes. Got lucky, I didn't specifically know about the tempered glass, but was just...
Yeah, that looks like what they must have done. But the situation actually is the same in every case, since the entire metal tab is soldered on directly to the defroster wire pad. During my effort, I pulled it entirely off being a little less accurate with the torch, and had to re-flow the...
Guys I think soldering was the easist and most effective way to fix this. If you're a bit handy, skip the $40 compounds, and $8 dollar tabs. I used ordinary electrical solder, and a butane torch for the heat. I also noted that the actual tab was also originally solder onto the defroster...
