I purchased my 2015 Hoe with a Magnuson SC - $6,200. It's a big price but installs in a day. Takes hp/torque to 480/490. Only using 6lbs of torque so thinking the additional wear should be minimal. Only issue to me is throttle mapping could be refined a bit - there's mild surging under different...
Anyone else bothered by the e-brake hanging under the axle? I don't get it, especially with a 3" lift there's more than enough space to get it out of the way of snagging - and it looks stupid! I've got some cutting and welding to do on the shock support and I'm going to re-route the lines but...
I bought a lowered '15 and then raised it 3" above stock - so I was completely lost as to the height of it. I purchased the same size rod from Napa Auto and then measured what it would take the lever to be half way through it's motion, then cut the rod to that height and it worked fine. Of...
Holy cow! $200 was a great deal. I just purchased and lifted a Tahoe that had been lowered - some height can make a big difference - just not usually front and rear approach angles at the same time! :-)
Thanks, Olyelr! I've got 2" additional height in the rear and so I'm going to lower 1", then set the sensor, and make all my final adjustments - like the linkage to the rear swaybar - it's a little pinched. Also the rear shocks were fully extended so I took the lowering brackets and flipped them...
Thanks Burken! Funny, looking at the pics it almost looks like the rear is low, but it's definitely raked just a bit. I'm looking for how to adjust the rear air shocks. I bought the rod stock to lengthen them but not sure where to set them. I'll probably just set them to where it's throwing the...
Ok, all's good.....except! The bracket for the rear shocks turns the shocks 90 degrees - the air shocks don't like that at all so I left them off till I could get an extender that doesn't do the rotation. However, my shocks are at bottom (or top) and I didn't hook up the little arm that adjusts...
Boy am I glad I wasn't able to get it on with the spacer, lol! Removed the spacespacer and then install went fine and the vehicle is setting just right! I'll post pic tomorrow.
Long story short I think the strut I bought gives me the 3-inch lift and I don't need the spacer. Bought from Carid and they said it was a strut for a lifted vehicle and that I could put the space on. Manufacturers site says it gives a 3-inch lift! That's why I was having so much trouble I think...
Correct, hard to believe! These are supposed to be stiffer than stock but holy hell! If anything they may compress an inch, but by the time they start lifting the truck it's still about 3" to get the upper arm down onto the the knuckle - I just don't see how this is going to work! Looks like the...
I'm sort of stuck! I don't see how the spindles would even help the problem I'm having - apparently stock or lowered keeps the control arms the same distance from each other - it's more where the axle comes through! With the strut fully extended and attached to the bottom arm and the the top...
I have some stock ones they sent me a pic of - but they're 2 hrs away! I'm trying to tell from the pic if I have stock or lowering ones! REALLY hard to tell!
I do have the ball joint out now.
