    Heater control module bad?

Did the reset and didn't help. Fan only blows on 5. Got another can and filled the system and compressor came on and cold air came out. Pressure needle went well into the green. Then it started dropping. I have a leak somewhere. Time to take it to a professional.

Too much trailer for my Yukon?

Luckily, I live close to some beautiful areas to camp in, so I can go around 30 miles and be in wilderness. When I was shopping for RVs, I was looking at new 18' models at around 3k pounds. This thing is a tank and I'm worried going too far is going to destroy my transmission. Even without...

Too much trailer for my Yukon?

My elderly father agreed to let me use his travel trailer for the season if I cleaned it up and maintained it. He told me it was a 22'. It's not. Its a 24' and really is bigger than what I wanted, but the price is good. It's a 2003 and dry weight is 4700lbs. With full tanks and gear, I'd...

    Heater control module bad?

Sorry if it's been addressed somewhere else, but my laptop does not agree with this forum and it runs super slow, so searches are taking forever. 2005 Yukon with 96k miles. AC worked perfect last Fall. Got warmer and tried to use it a couple of weeks ago and no cold air. AC compressor not...

Cheapest work around for the ZW7 rear shock replacement?

Road test went awesome! Ride is definitely firmer now, but no more bouncing and leaning. Very, very happy with the results. Hopefully it will handle towing my little camper and UTV better, now.

Cheapest work around for the ZW7 rear shock replacement?

Got in all the parts and the snow finally melted off my lower driveway so had time to do the install today. Local shop bid the job at $338 for labor only. Took me just over two hours. Very non-technical job. Hardest part was getting the rig in the air high enough and safe enough. My floor...

Cheapest work around for the ZW7 rear shock replacement?

Ended up ordering the Moog coils for $60 delivered through Amazon. Then did some searching and found some very favorable reviews of the Monroe Gas Magnums. They were $42 each on Amazon, but further searching found WalMart online selling them for $25 each. So went with those for $55...

Cheapest work around for the ZW7 rear shock replacement?

Did some more digging and found Moog replacement coil springs on Amazon for $55. Part # 81069. These supposedly are replacements for the Z71 coils and are much beefier than the ZM7 coils. So, I could buy those, plus standard shocks at $50 each, and be good to go. Only question now is what...

Cheapest work around for the ZW7 rear shock replacement?

Found another source for the coilovers and it seems that they are designed to replace the air shock system, which I believe uses a standard strength coil instead of the weaker ones with the ZW7... "Rear New Electronic to Passive Conversion Kit (150G-30-R-RES) by Suncore®. Quantity: Sold as a...

Cheapest work around for the ZW7 rear shock replacement?

I didn't think the post really fit in the "street suspension" forum since it's 4wd and I use it off-road, and not looking to lift it (but wouldn't mind an extra inch or so...That's what she said...). If a mod thinks it is better suited somewhere else, go for it... So, 2005 Yukon, 92k miles or...

    NIVOMAT Shock Replacement Input Needed.....

92k miles on a 2005 and mine apparently went out this week after a couple of days of negative temps. Vehicle rode and drove fine on Friday, then after -5 degree night, it felt weird and the back bounces up and down. Let it sit a couple of days in warmer weather and drove it and still bad...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

They are just one size larger; 265/75/16. Basically a 32" tire. Front is leveled with torsion bar crank. Seems to work perfectly as it rides and handles great.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Washed, waxed, and detailed my Yukon. Also installed some new blue LED DRLs. But, I think they are too blue; will likely get pulled over.

What vehicle related issue did you have today?

Discovered that my right brake light was burned out so I went to AutoZone and decided to upgrade to LED lights. Put them in, looked good and went to work. Discovered that now the cruise control doesn't work. Weird. Installed some regular bulbs and cruise control started working again. My...

What vehicle related issue did you have today?

Now the check engine light is back on... I was spoiled by driving a 2014 Ram the past 4 years. Not a single issue. Trading this in on a new 4Runner as soon as all credit cards are paid off.
