Comtemplating 08 Hybrid, 80k miles
I would not recommend a Hybrid over a clean regular Tahoe. A new authentic GM (not re manufactured) hybrid battery is $3700(part only), maybe around $3000 if you can get a good deal....however, they are currently not available, they have been on back order for several months with no definitive...- Hybrid-Theory

My New 2015 Tahoe PPV
Yes, I can Confirm Courtesy Chevrolet will order anyone a PPV or sell one that they may have on the lot. I know some dealers will not, but Courtesy doesn't seem to mind. When I ordered my Hybrid I was on the fence between that and a PPV, they didn't seem to have an issue selling me one.- Hybrid-Theory

Finally did it, Yukon Hybrid!
You will not notice any sound difference in the vehicle without the resonator at low speeds or low RPM's, it is exactly the same sound. It is only slightly noticeable at mid to high RPM's and ever so slightly at highway speeds. If you stand behind the vehicle it is slightly noticeable at idle...- Hybrid-Theory

Check the 12V battery, regardless of age, load test it. It may appear to be fine if you just check the voltage but will drop to zero under a load indicating a possible shorted cell.
