On the hottest week of the year.....

Ditto on checking the harness plug pins. They are a know problem. When they get loose the resistance goes up and it burns out the fan. Look inside the connectors to see melted pin.

2008 tahoe lift gate actuator rod end.

I have that problem now. I can by the rod but I do not see any way to buy simply the plastic end piece that locks to the ball socket. The side that broke is the easy to get at top. So how to access the connector at lower end at the motor gear to replace the whole rod? Thoughts?

Power Lift gate lift rod replacement

My lift gate actuator rod tip has broken (not the gas struts). It is the rod that attaches to the power lift motor assembly. How do I get access to the lower ball connector at the actuator gear? Any how to ideas on easy ways of replacing this simple snap in rod?

    Air Bag recall

Had my airbag replaced a few weeks ago. The dealer warned me that they might crack my dash doing the replacement and if so it would be on me to pay for replacing it. Like everyone else mine was already cracked in two places. They the airbag replacement and the dash remained exactly as...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Swapped out On Star /Blue tooth box from 2009 Suburban for the non Blue tooth on my 2007 GMC Yukon Denali. It was a Consolidated box with the blue tooth antenna. Direct fit no extra unused wires. Paired to my I phone by first saying On Star and after response saying Blue Tooth then follow...

Rattling / Resonance from RR under light throttle

For years I chased a rattle. Last week I found a quarter in the opening for the rear anchor of my second row driver side seat. About 1/3 of it was visible while I had the seat up to vacuum. The quarter apparently moved up and down the channel. So I just got lucky. Sometimes it sounded as if...

Arnott rear air shocks w/ magnaride delete

I used the Arnott replacements for my air shocks for my 2007 GMC Yukon Denali XL. In addition to changing the shocks you also change the rear springs to beefier springs. The electronic device keeps the computer from from displaying an error code on the dash. I love the ride and the price is...

Old style, non J hook blade preference?

I put the Michelin Silicons on two weeks ago and so far they are great. They claim twice the life of traditional wiper blades so we will see.

    Rear End Clunk Sound

I have a similar problem now except it feels like a hard transmission shift. It mostly happens when cold and rolling down the street out of my driveway. As I make a slight right turn and am about to give it some gas it hard clucks into another gear.

    Rear End Clunk Sound

Loud scraping, squealing, metal on metal sound from rear door jambs..

if you can duplicate the sound while opening and closing the door repeatedly it is probably the hinge. I use a dab of wheel bearing grease on the spring and hinge. If you are talking about a metal to metal sound while driving with the doors closed it is probably not the hinge. Could be a...

Cost of rear main seal replacement

Almost $1,000 for my 2007 GMC Yukon Denali. I would take it somewhere else first to make sure it is really the rear main seal and not something else like the pan. Also on mine there was a special kit because of a dissimilar metal problem that caused the rear main seals to leak. The...

    Dash cracking

I removed the panel closest to the windshield and then melted a small piece of the same plastic across the hidden part of the crack. Trim off excess plastic from a non visible location to do this. I used a soldering iron to melt the underlying dash plastic a little an applied the cut piece...
