Eaton TrueTrac is a great way to go. I have 5.13 gears and an Eaton TrueTrac differential and I can launch into dounts on dry pavement if I am so inclined. I don't thrash it all the time, but so far it's held up to daily driving and occasional thrashing. Drifting in the wet is a blast because...
My hunch was right, the master cylinder did fail. After I got the first version of this swap done I exchanged messages on instagram with a guy who has a LS-swapped C10 that is running a T56. Coincidentally, he explained to me that he has had several Tilton master cylinders fail on him. I...

The swap outlived my 2004 Tahoe - a nasty hail storm several years back totalled it into a golfball that looked a little bit like a Tahoe. I put the same T56 parts into a 2005 Avalanche for a short while but parted with the Avalanche as I really like the Tahoe platform...
Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome. This Tahoe community is one of the big reasons I got another Tahoe. I have already torn into this Tahoe on Sunday and here's my checklist of where I'm at as of lunch break today:
Howdy from San Antonio! A few years ago I parted out my my slammed 6-speed 2004 Tahoe after a hail storm turned it into a golf ball and then the spider gears in the rear axle shattered. Since then I've been itching to get another family hauler with third row. Throughout all my searching I...
Yes, another like mine. I've been driving and abusing my T56 Tahoe for over three years now. Here is my original thread on it:

Hi ccreddell...the swap is done. I've been enjoying this swap for two years since when I posted this in February of 2014.
Thanks! :)
The mileage is better when I can keep my right foot out of it and not shift at red line from every stop. Driving it with the 6-speed is way more fun than...
I'm bummed to hear it man...I was hoping there'd be another Tahoe out there like mine. The last I heard from you you were having back issues...so I'm really glad that you are up and moving around.
I've recently seen the ebay listings for these superchargers. I've read about the different heads and front accessories needed to make them run on our engines...seems you've done the same too. With all the parts you've had to pick up I'm wondering if it's cheaper (and easier) to either 1) buy...
Murphy's Law reared it's ugly head on me. I've been collecting parts for the coilover conversion on the front of my 2004 Tahoe for a while now. I bought a used coilover conversion setup from Bomba02 minus Atomic's brackets because I had my own. Low and behold, while the shocks were being...
I bought a set of used coilover shocks from Bomba02. I got great communication before and after the sale along with a tracking number. The parts were safely packed and were in great shape. I would definitely do the deal again.
I could not pass up posting here...the title of the thread, or the handle of the seller, totally cracked me up! And that's got to be worth some good Karma for poopercage. :)
I'm wanting to do some tinkering with my existing fender flares but I'm really hesitant to remove them as I may not be able to get them reinstalled as sturdy as they are right now. How exactly did you install them?
