I recently did the autoride conversion to standard shocks with Bilstein 5100s on all 4 corners. On top of the shocks and bypass resistors you will also want to get new rear coil springs. From my understanding the coil springs that come on the autoride trucks are too soft for use with standard...
so after reading on the rough country website it says not to use their arms unless you have at least 3.5" of lift. Being I have only 2.5" I guess that leads me back to going with moog or ac delco. Seems the moog have slightly better reviews on Amazon. This is my second Yukon with the ccm level...
I can swap out parts with the best of em but I don't have much knowledge when it comes to the suspension components and how they all work together. Could y'all explain what makes the RCX control arms the way to go? I assume with the 2.5" lift these would put the ball joint at a better angle for...
Went to get an alignment after putting on a ccm leveling kit and Bilstein 5100 struts and it looks like I need new front upper control arms. Looking at rockauto.com the ac delco and Moog are both $77 ea. I assume this is a situation where I'll be happy with either option but is there any reason...
I tow a boat with my 07 5.3 4x4 regularly. Never been on a scale but I estimate weight between 6-7k lbs. it does a decent job but not great. Cruising anything above 65 and it has a tough time in my opinion, lots of downshifting up even a slight incline.
Does anyone have a picture of these wheels painted black? I can't seem to find a pic but I'm sure it's been done before. Just bought another Yukon in this color with these wheels and it is just begging for some black wheels but I can't afford to go aftermarket right now.
I've read just about every thread I could find on the autoride but still looking for some clarification on a few things.
I had an 07 Yukon that I traded in about 9 months ago, now I just got back into another. The old one had the z71 rpo code for suspension this new one has the z55 autoride...
I had an issue similar with flickering lights. Headlights and interior lights would flicker all the time. The service charging system would come on from time to time but never for very long. I had the alternator tested at oreilly's and it came back good. Luckily one day I was passing an...
My valence ripped off while I was offroad. Looks better in my opinion. For what it's worth I think I'm gonna ditch the 275/60/20 in lieu of either 305/55/20 or 33x12.5x20. When I was stock ride height it looked good but now that I've got the leveling kit on from the rear the tires just look way...
I've got the magnaflow 11226 which is similar to the 12589 but smaller so in turn louder and its still a little too quiet for me. I have a couple buddies with single in dual out flow master 50 series and mine is quieter. Hopefully that helps as everyone and their mother around here seems to be...
It just has the Denali wheels. The 275/60 is almost an inch taller than the 305/50 and I was looking for more ground clearance which is why I went with the 275/60. That combined with the better price. If I'm being honest though, I will most likely go with either 305/50 or 305/55 next time...
