Took the old hoe in to get an alignment last week and was told she couldnt be aligned due to a loose gearbox. After driving 1100 miles to Arizona and back through 50 MPH wind I realized just how bad the steering has gotten. Does anyone have any suggestions for brands of steering boxes? Is...
Well I originally wanted to install a level kit on my 03 tahoe when re doing my suspension and shove some meaty tires in there but I have decided against going that route for now. I have already purchased everything for my suspension refurb including the bilstein 5100s ford keys, 2 inch spacers...
Thanks for all the replies everyone I think I was mostly confused because I had seen they were mostly being used in a lowered situation and was wondering why they wouldn't be as necessary in a lifted scenario but now it makes sense! As far as fitting 35's on a 4.5in lift I have seen it done...
So I have a pile of suspension components building on the side of my bed to soon be installed on the hoe:rockit:. I have slowly bought the parts to finish rebuilding my front end and make the tahoe ready for my future adventures. I have all the parts to do the ford key swap with the bilstein...
Thanks for the feedback! Proform had gotten back to me yesterday saying the cover was slightly less than 3.5 inches tall and after measuring the distance between the cover and panhard bar (approx 3.5 inches LOL) I decided it was too close for comfort.
Yeah I was scrounging the website hoping to find some details but had no luck so I sent them an email. Hopefully they will get back to me sooner than later. Thanks for the help!
Okay so not to long ago I noticed my rear diff cover has a couple hairline cracks that are slowly leaking. Being the totally reasonable person I am I feel as though buying a new OEM cover just cant possible suffice :birgits_tiredcoffee. I have my eye on an aftermarket cover...
After a 1700 mile road trip my Hoe developed a similar clunk in the rear end that only seems to happen occasionally from a slow take off/ start. I would prefer to just add some grease first before throwing money at a new slip yolk but I have seen multiple people state that greasing the slip yolk...
Black Widow Venom :head3: Had one welded in the first week I bought it and I love it. The idle is so nice and your neighbors will definitely know when you pull out of the driveway.
@00'BlueSteel When you were running just the leveling kit with the Cognito UCA's did you have to use limit straps as well? Ive read conflicting reports whether you do or dont need them.
Whats up everyone its been a while since I have done much with the hoe not for lack of ideas and things in need of attention. My aging auto ride system probably doesnt have too much life left in it so Im planning to just get rid of the system and going with the bilstein swap But I have a couple...
Alright folks the internet has resulted a lot of conflicting information/opinions on whether or not to use a gear oil with the limited slip additive on trucks with the G80 rear diff. The only place to get the oil without the LS additive is through a stealership for almost 30 per bottle...that or...
Today I had a black widow 250 muffler installed on the stock pipes and WOW what a difference in sound. The hoe is sounding great now even the manager at the shop where I had it installed seemed awfully fond of the tone (he sells flowmaster). I also have had a fresh set of mastercraft courser...
