Intermediate steering shaft U-joint. Can you replace it?

I'm tracking down some steering clicking/play while turning slow. What are the symptoms of this intermediate shaft failing/needing replaced ?

Thanks everyone for the helpful posts and pointing me to find a good source for the JaunceStops. I used GM Parts Giant for both front & rear OE replacements !!

    Autoride suspension help

Finally rebuilt my rear Z55 suspension to as near OE as I could afford with Arnott Reman/Original Shocks & P3242 Air Compressor. Ride is solid in just around town driving so far. The compressor kicks on and fills fast but I haven't loaded cargo or towed yet.

    Cats and O2 Sensors

Thanks for the replies, I never did get a P code for O2's but I just ran my Actron CP9180 O2 scan again & it doesn't say No Codes Found. It says No O2 information was retrieved from the vehicle, so maybe it can't check - rather than checked successful with no codes. I'm gonna replace the 2...

    Cats and O2 Sensors

So I just finished up a PS pump, Brake Booster and related hose install, looking at what's next. I am original owner 2006 6L Denali w/175K. I have battled the typical P300 code but have never had a Cat or O2 sensor code. I do seem to have less power even after plugs/wires, TB clean but not due...

    Autoride issues

Thank you guys, I'm still cost crunching and wondering if the autoride Z55 delete option is a better choice now. Also will be doing a search on emissions to see my options there on maintenance- stay safe.

    Autoride issues

My 175K 2006 6L Denali rear shock bladders are ripped and I haven't heard the compressor in years. What are the downsides to replacing with this setup other that cost ?

Engine starts up then dies. 06' Yukon Denali

haha, radio stays on & drains battery all night - yep. Easy simple workaround, leave radio on, turn off key take out, exit vehicle...radio still on, now for the fix, open another door(cuz driver door shut sensor is malfunctioning), shut it & voila - Radio is off - No power drain

    Timing chains

Thanks guys, Great News - not the chain, Whew. My other thought was flywheel ticking a shield, but also and this is weird, Its intermittent, last weekend chirping, quiet most of the week, then starts up again. I am the original owner, change oil as needed. Didn't notice worn lifters last year...

    Timing chains

Hi All, So I have this ticking/chirping at idle/low RPM. Even with Both belts removed on my 2006 6.0 w/167K. Oil Pressure is @ 40psi. I was thinking the timing belt might be loose and slapping the cover, But now I have to ask, How do you Diagnose a Bat/Clogged Cat ?

    New Tahoe. New problems

I'll take a shot in the dark. I have once fixed similar which turned out to be a missing return spring(after tranny rebuild on older GM350). The springs purpose is to push the starter gear forward after the engine starts. If is is missing/broken the started gear is free to reengage and be...

Almost got rid of my 2005 Denali XL

If you can get all 8 Coils changed out for even $400, I agree with Red Rocket - Do It ! And consider changing valve cover gaskets while your in their. It is straight forward. I did gaskets this weekend, no more leaks at 150K. Like you - Going strong
