Appreciate all the advice fellas! Forums are the best, most of the time lol. Im leaving for North Carolina tomorrow morning but leaving the truck home this time. When I get back ( next Saturday ) and find a day, im gonna try to redo the install of the mode door, redo the relearn and check...
Thats what im thinking I did wrong. It was 100% in a different position than the old one and definitely in a different position than what the picture showed in that link. Im thinking its not aligned right and now its stuck between modes. That link seems better than every video I watched on...
Bro! Thank you. I think when i get back from vacation and back to my truck, im gonna pull the mode door back out, and redo it following this dudes steps just to make sure its all in right. I did the relearn he said so i know thats right. Maybe i didnt install correctly? Felt like everything was...
Im real big on doing my own work on my vehicles. My main issue is that my HOA doesnt let me work on my vehicles on the property. A project that will take that long, i cant really do at home so it becomes more of an issue than it is.
I thought the "relearn" was to disconnect the battery for a while then reconnect and turn the key to on but not start. Then when the doors stop cycling, Id be good. I did all that, twice actually. Still doesnt work as it should. It seemed to only make a difference the first time I did it. No...
So i pulled the battey, did the reset. I heard the doors cycle and now i have air thru both the defrost and vents all the time no matter what position the knob is in. I mean, i wanted defrost and I got it but why isnt it working correctly!?
BTW, I didnt get to disconnect the battery last night. Worked late, then walked into a list of things the wife needed done so ill tackle the battery in the truck tonight. Im hopeful this fixes my issue but idk...
The mode door actuator. Under the drivers side, above the gas pedal, the one with the top bolt that almost made me question life itself trying to remove it
I pulled the fuse when i did the install but when I get home later im gonna try the battery reset. I was trying to avoid that because of having to reset all my stereo stuff but im hoping thats a small price to pay if just disconnecting and reconnecting the battery makes the doors work
My 2000 lately will only blow air thru the dash vents. All of my reading lead me to thinking I needed to replace the mode door actuator. I changed it yesterday and it still doesn't do anything. I dont even hear or see anything happen when I turn the dial. HELP! Its getting colder here and I need...
Im having the same issue in my 2000! I replaced the mode door actuator yesterday but still nothing. Still only blows through the vents. im at a loss at this point. Its getting cold here in NY and i could really use some heat on my feet and a defroster for my frozen windows! When i try to switch...
