What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I replaced my Catalytic Converter with a Magnaflow. Part #49194. I also replaced all of the oxygen sensors with OE sensors. Replaced AC compressor also. Going to replace condenser today and blow the lines out. Tomorrow morning back to Meineke to get my steering rack looked at. My new rack...

TCM died. Can't program the new one with tech 2

I forgot to mention that after I put the new tcm module in, I was able to program other modules. Is that weird.. Could the tcm from the dealer have been defective and caused me not to be able to program other modules? Also, I started getting c0561 symptom 71 in the tech 2. The traction...

TCM died. Can't program the new one with tech 2

After reading through his post, I did everything the way he did but it looks like there is a restriction with using a tech2 to program with techline. I'll wait to see if that changes or buy a vcxnano if needed. Thank you for the link to his writeup

TCM died. Can't program the new one with tech 2

Can you explain how this works? I actually spent the 40$ to get the tech line subscription but couldn't get the tech2 to work with it. The program kept asking me for a mdi or mdi2, or the j2534 devices which I am unfamiliar with.

TCM died. Can't program the new one with tech 2

How do you use it as a pass thru device? I had it connected to a windows 7 laptop, with the keyspan USB to serial adapter.

TCM died. Can't program the new one with tech 2

I had checked the harness and blew out the connector and obd port. It was actually really clean already. My voltage was good 15v, and I had the cigarette lighter connector plugged up to the tech 2. It was plugged in at the connector before the candi module.

TCM died. Can't program the new one with tech 2

Sorry for getting back to you guys so late. Work got busy and I'm just now able to get online and read all of the responses. Since i couldnt program the tcm I tried to program the driver door module just to see if it worked, and, I had an updated calibration, but it failed. I decided to go to...

TCM died. Can't program the new one with tech 2

So I was driving and suddenly the tahoe bogs down. Stopped shifting and I noticed I had to rev it higher to get it to move. I got nervous of course and pulled over to the side of the road. I noticed that I could no longer tell that I was in drive nor any other gear on the prndl. I decided to...

Upgrade Bose system with better speakers but keep the Bose amp?

Make sure that you match the ohm load and you'll be fine. If you use higher than 2 ohms the volume will be very low. I replaced mine with 1 ohm speakers, prior to ditching the bose amp and adding in my own amps/speakers.

What should i do about oil leak

Another update.... No more leaks!!! Valve cover is all good. The rear main was leaking pretty bad which I had repaired along with the oil pan. I did not use the oil cooler gasket as that was not leaking. I am happy and no longer staining everyone's driveways. :happy107:

Tips/Advice from anyone that has replaced control arms?

I made a mistake. After a bit of checking my upper control arms are the ck part number.

Tips/Advice from anyone that has replaced control arms?

I'll add also that you should be wary of Moog control arms with part number starting with R. In my experience this applies to the lower control arms only. The upper control arms are still working for me at this moment. My UCA's and LCA's have been on for one year and I found out a few days...

Tips/Advice from anyone that has replaced control arms?

Had to use a sawsall as well to get the job done on my tahoe. Went through a lot of blades that night.:mad:

What should i do about oil leak

Replaced the valve cover last thursday. I'm curious to see how things look after another 3000 miles. So far I have added an oil catch can, and a driver's side valve cover. Now onto the oil pan. I may tackle that myself instead of taking it to the shop. Time to search the forums for...
