I dont have the bread to buy a stealth box, but I do work in construction and MDF is practically free for me. I have looked around a little for the build specs on the NBS stealth box but apparently they are keeping those pretty tightly wrapped. Anyone have any ideas ?

Ty, Why not build your own custom square box? What is the Cubic Feet requirement of your Sub? Size of your sub ECT...?

oh shit Im in the 07+ section... sorry guys.... not sure what happened there, maybe one of the mods can move it over.

I will basically buy the sub to meet the box's requirements. I do not have the luxury of using any of my cargo area. I use my crago area a LOT. I also do not want to go the same rout JK went (no cutting and welding for me).

This leaves me building a stealth box to install inside the front consol. JL makes one but it sells for nearly $400 and I have the tools, material, and craftsmaship to do it for much cheaper. I just need to specifications

Ok, Cool, just one more suggestion. What about a slim mount Kicker Sub mounted under the seat? Or do you fold down the seat alot as well?

probably a few times a month. the only other option I would really have is re-locate the jack and shit to under the hood and install a sub+box in that location behiond the interior moulding. I just think there would be less cubic space back there then inside the center consol

you familiar with how the JL stealthbox mounts in these hoes? that seems pretty good, even though it only houses a single 10

Yeah, The cargo area that houses the jack would not provide a sufficient enough air space to mount any sub. As far as how the stealth box works, they are a whole new console and you use your current lid of your old console. So, just a whole replacement. Still provides with room as well to store stuff if needed.

It's unfortunate that you can't build a simple box for the back of your truck. I just installed a 12x12x9" Box with a Infinity 1060W 10" Sub today. Does not take that much room but for the business you're in I can see why it would not work.

But, Another idea would be too build you a center console and wrap it in carpet or leather. That way you could build your square box then build your console over top that. Should be a simple idea really.

Basically, Build you a appropriate sized box for your 10" or 8" Sub (With the correct Cubic Feet Air Space) and then build your side walls to go around that box to form you a console.
