Awesome! Your getting there. Almost done. Bet you ready to hear it haha.

Hey Shawn - That's right - I'm ready, but the system not quite yet!

Great progress,

question whats MLV?

Hey Mike, It's sound deadening stuff. Mass Loaded Vinyl Barrier.

Great work man! I love my fosgate system, especially the P3s :)

I gotta say tho I don't understand these big 3 "kits", I know what it is but seems crazy expensive for some wire and terminals

Do your big 3 with welding cable...same principle way cheaper.

Looking good. Question, do your amps sit between the seat supports when they have the covers on or you leaving them off?

Cool - wiring can be had cheaper, but I just wanted to use the premium stuff.

I can appreciate that. I know welding cable is a great choice and used by many!

Sure mike - no problem.

Coming along - any day now!! Thanks Shawn.

Thanks - They do fit with the trim on, I just haven't finished putting everything back together.

A little more and that’s it for the weekend:

Hooked up my main amplifier power fuse and small whip to the battery:

Amp install is looking sweet!
Now I know why mine looks so crazy...wires run to both sides of the amp.

Not my truck but you get the idea.
I like the look of all the wires on one side. It appears to be a cleaner install.

Just in time, I'm getting sick of this project!

I hereby declare major operations are complete.

This system CRANKS and SOUNDS GREAT!

:chewie:

IMGP1152.jpg

I've got some cable shortening, dressing and routing details to finish and some other interior trim to need re-install, but I've got sound!!

It works out...I'm getting sick of working on this thing so much!

:Big Laugh:

Thanks for all your comments, advice and encouragement. Joe

Haha congrats! It's great to actually finish a project lol. I bet it sounds good, how's the sub sound? Also now you have to spend some time tweaking and tuning to your liking.

Way to go. Feels great to do it yourself right?

Yes Sir!!

That's right Shawn!! I really like to do projects and it does feel good to bring it home to completion. You're right about the tweaks, but the big stuff is done.

My HU is great, I was able to easily Bluetooth with my iPhone 5 and stream Pandora with some control from the HU. USB works great, HD radio. It also woks great to make calls over my iPhone while connected via Bluetooth.

My steering wheel controls don't work, so I'll need to track down why that is.

The sub is great, lots of power. I have a buddy who is going to set up his oscilloscope to show me at what point I distort and will help me with the other amp settings. I did buy an EQ mic, but haven't read up on it or hooked it up to use yet.

Congrats on getting it done. Try programming the steering wheel controller again. Mine didnt take the first time. Once I got the pattern of which buttons to push, I got it working.
