So I saw someone here paint there interior black, which I love. I tried it and it looked great. But it didnt last. There is scratches everywhere. Then I realized I have dogs lol so there going to mess it all up.

So now my question is.....how can I go back to grey. I know painting it grey or buying new panels. But can I use anything to take off the paint? Spent a lot of money already =(

i hate to say it, but your going to be stripping and then repainting. Anything you do to remove that, will in turn mess up the paint/color underneath and need to be repainted

Just re-clear coat it........ with one that has a hardner in it...... ie spraymax 2000.

Then buff it out.

You can add flattening agent to the clear. That's how we paint flat color cars. No shine at all with a protective layer.

Now my next question would be. Is the paint coming off because its cheap paint or is it just not sticking to the plastic with the adhesive premotor?
Should I buy a heat gun and dry it with that after using that hardening clear coat?

Please remember prep prep prep. Patience between coats. Less is more. Dust free environment

Thanx again to slipping for posting these links... These look to me like they need to b applied on with a paint gun, is this correct..?

O.P. Did u use a paint gun or rattle cans..? Im only asking so that we can all work together and come up with a combo that will work properly...

Dust fee enviornment + Prep, prep, prep + paint gun + paint + clear + flat+ patience= painted dash..?

You can rattle can it. Won't make a difference. Paint gun would be overkill unless you had experience dialing it in.

Napa will color match it and put it in a can for about 20 bucks.

What about some of the paint melting. Its been twice already where its gotten to about 90 here and I grab the door to open it and seems like the paint litteraly melts. Any way to get that to stick strongly? Ive used *** sem adhesive promoter underneath.
